Janice Cooper-King is the Coordinator of Work-Based Learning (WBL) and Youth Apprenticeship (YA) Programs for Pebblebrook High School, in Mableton, GA. With over 15 years of experience teaching Career and Technical Education (CTE) in Georgia, I am a content expert in multiple instructional areas of CTE. I remain teachable and is committed to being a life-long learner. My experience teaching Business Education, Business and Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and now Work-Based Learning makes me very diverse in CTE. My goal is to increase student participation in Work-Based Learning at Pebblebrook High School. My goal is to provide work-based learning activities that will extend the classroom into the workplace, connecting acquired knowledge and skills to a student's future employment. I would also provide experience in student’s career interest to assist with making decisions for postsecondary school.

My experience before education includes 17 years as an Operations Manager for Federal Express. Academically, I have a bachelor’s degree from Bethune-Cookman University in Business Administration, bachelor’s degree from University of West Georgia in Business Education and a master’s degree from Lesley University in Educational Technology. I am currently seeking Georgia endorsement in Computer Science.

I look forward with working with the students and parents of Pebblebrook High School, and business leaders of Mableton community.
